Gone too far

I was talking with a dear friend about how everyone is beautiful and how this concept has been knocked out of so many people, and trying to look at the broad reasons.

Certainly the media's treatment has a lot to do with it. Film and magazines have been setting the standard for what is considered beautiful, pushing the boundaries with Photoshop and so on. This is certainly a bad thing.

We were also talking about how men and women are having such a hard time with self image these days and also roles and the linkage. I can certainly see how religion in the west has pushed women down spurning feminism to come about and in the swing things putting a cultural clash firmly in the gender territory. But this isn't the whole story.

It's a right mess, sadly.

Everyone is beautiful. You are beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you any different.
